PROTOCOL FOR THE SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS (BUILDINGS) TO THE CHIEF TOWN PLANNER
Architects who submit drawings to the Chief Town Planner seeking planning permission shall be registered under the Architects Registration Act as set out under Section 4(5). All submissions shall be accompanied by the following:
- a copy of the certificate of registration pursuant to Chapter 373, Profession, Trade and Business Registration Act, and
- the approved seal/stamp of the Architects Registration Board affixed to all accompanying drawings.
Draughtsmen who submit drawings to the Chief Town Planner seeking permission to develop the following pursuant to Section 12(1) of Architects Registration Act, Cap. 366.
- Family dwellings; and
- Commercial structures of no more than 5000 square feet or 465 square metres;
Shall be registered under Chapter 373, Profession, Trade and Business Registration Act and submissions shall be accompanied by a copy of the certificate of registration.
Note
In keeping with the Town and Country Planning (Fees) Regulations, 1970 as amended “family dwellings” for the purpose of the submission of applications for buildings includes dwelling houses, apartments, townhouses and condominiums.
